Maggie (Austin, TX): "Lone Star is the national beer of Texas - just ask any billboard you see around Austin, and they'll set you straight. Halloween was lots of fun with my friends and the aforementioned national beer by our sides. I acted like Julia Child all night, telling everyone what I'd be cooking later on. This little house party was a nice break from school work, but now its the last month of the semester, eek!"

Gretchen (Shreveport, LA): "I went to see Shreveport Opera's production of Don Giovanni. I grew up going to symphony concerts and operas all the time, but I had never seen this one. I loved it a lot. I had to take this picture a little after 10:10, immediately after the opera ended, because I couldn't just mess with Mozart. Brilliant."

Megan (Bloomington, IN): "Saturday night I went to see the opera Little Women. I honestly was not a fan of the show - the music was too strident, the plot was slow, and the songs were too reflective and repetitive. My friends and I went home and watched the movie to make ourselves feel better. At least we got to dress up and see the cool building!"
