Monday, January 31st, 2010: 10:10 a.m.

Megan (Bloomington, IN): "My Mondays are pretty packed with school, but I too time during my break to do some Energy Economics homework! My lovely graph shows what happens when the government lowers prices below market equilibrium - a shortage!"

Gretchen (Shreveport, LA): "On the morning we decided to take tinker pictures, I got unexpectedly called into work and wasn't able to take a picture there. But here is something close to what I would have been doing around 10:10 if that hadn't happened - eating or admiring (or maybe even to help out with?) this lovely quiche that my boyfriend made, complete with fake bacon...and lots of real cheese. Beautiful post-work lunch."

Maggie (Austin, TX): "I started a new job this semester in residence life, and now I have my own office with a view that looks out over the building's courtyard! The job means more hours and responsibility, so I'm way busier than I was, but I really love what I'm doing now. It's a great start to the semester!"

Wednesday, December 29th, 2010: 10:10 p.m.

Gretchen (Minnetonka, MN): "My aunt whom I stayed with in Minnesota does a big Christmas cookie exchange with friends every year. As a result, she had several different varieties by the time I got to Minnesota, but no sealed-with-a-kiss - one of her favorite kinds. Being the good niece that I am, I baked some for the house one night. They were delicious, naturally."

Megan (Shreveport, LA): "I came to the party late, but I found Maggie surrounded by old friends, spiked applesauce, and lots of gold glitter. Fun times!"

Maggie (Shreveport, LA): "One of my stops this holiday was to visit Mego while she was home in Shreveport. It was an odd night, but a good one to have my close friends around me. This pic is of my friends Lily, Mego, and myself, in a normal state of goof-off-ery."

Saturday, December 25th, 2010: 10:10 a.m.

Gretchen (Minnetonka, MN): "Between traveling a thousand miles by car, being in a completely different climate, and the sun rising much later in Minnesota than in Louisiana in the winter, I was still asleep at 10:10 on Christmas morning. My family had already celebrated Christmas Eve, so there wasn't anything special to get up for anyway. We ended up seeing True Grit and eating Chinese food. It was a good day, even if I didn't take any pictures."

Megan (Shreveport, LA): "My cats were obsessed with the Christmas tree. Even though they dislike each other, they shared the couch to stare at the lights."

Maggie (Lake Charles, LA): "I spent Christmas at my brother's house in my hometown. We're not the type of family to cautiously open presents, so after all the gifts were given, the living room was left looking like this."

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010: 10:10 p.m.

Megan (Shreveport, LA): "We were finally in the same city at the same time! I'm sad that we only saw each other for a few days though. I also got to hang out with her cousin, whose wise songs I still have on old tapes ("don't drink your lava lamp, it's not too good for you")."

Gretchen (Shreveport, LA): "For the first time since we started this project, two of us were actually in the same place! Megan and I took pictures of each other in her kitchen after I went to collect Oreo truffles and say goodbye before I headed out for a family trip to Minnesota."

Maggie (Austin, TX): This holiday season, I've been traveling quite a bit, so I condensed my life down to a suitcase for a few weeks. I've been on a road trip to DC, a weekend in Houston, and am headed home to Louisiana for Christmas. Hooray for the holidays!

Saturday, December 11, 2010: 10:10 p.m.

Gretchen (Shreveport, LA): "My friends made me this cookie house for my birthday. A few minutes after this photo was taken, my friends made me smash the house with my hand so that we could eat it. I'm not a very angry or violent person, so everyone was very entertained."

Megan (Bloomington, IN): "While Gretchen was having her birthday bash, I found myself hitting the books in my room! As my wall indicates, I tend to study Chinese when I don't want to study my real classwork."

Maggie (Houston, TX): "After finishing the semester, I went on a little trip back to Houston to see some old friends. We took a tour of Houston's Lights in the Heights, a fun night out where a local neighborhood welcomes the community to walk around and view their Christmas lights displays."

Thursday, December 9, 2010: 10:10 a.m.

Gretchen (Shreveport, LA): "Subbing in high schools tends to be pretty easy because the kids are more or less self-sufficient. During this job, most of the class involved the students working independently while I sat and read or tried to plan my life. No complaints."

Megan (Bloomington, IN): "IU's Sample Gates is my favorite part on campus. I'm too busy to really think about the holidays, but the wreathes remind me that I'm going home soon!"

Maggie (Austin, TX): "This morning I was on a super secret mission picking out a Christmas present for my mom before we met for lunch. This awesome 4 foot tall, azul colored chiminea is gonna look so great on her patio. I loving giving presents at Christmas!!"

Saturday, November 27, 2010: 10:10 a.m.

Megan (Bloomington, IN): I usually have traditional Thanksgivings in Louisiana (except for those few times I spent them in Chinatown/China...), but my Thanksgiving in Indiana was the first time I've had traditional food with creative twists!

Gretchen (Shreveport, LA): "I had a reallllly late night the day before Thanksgiving, so the following morning was slow. Fortunately my big Thanksgiving meal wasn't until late afternoon, so I didn't have to make things like pumpkin pie and roasted Brussels sprouts until later in the day. I spent most of that morning wandering around the house in an 'I went to bed too late' stupor and lying in my bed."

Maggie (Lake Charles, LA): I spent Thanksgiving this year back home in Louisiana at my brother's house. I was really happy to go home and take a break from Austin/School life, even if I felt guilty for not doing much homework while I was away. I did work on a group powerpoint presentation while I watched the Saints dominate the Cowboys! Who Dat!!
